Persea Capital Management LLC is a registered investment adviser based in California. The firm employs a multi-strategy trading approach that encompasses a broad range of strategies, with particular emphasis on special situation equities, distressed debt and turnaround situations.
The firm was founded in 2019 by Dorenus Johnikin, Jr., who serves as CIO and oversees all investment activity. Mr. Johnikin has more than a decade of experience in the financial markets and a knack for recognizing and extracting value from investment opportunities that are often overlooked or mispriced.

- We analyze financial markets with discipline and focus to take advantage of market inefficiencies that can be represented in the mispricing of financial assets while employing a range of strategies in an effort to deliver market-leading investment returns to our capital partners.
- We seek to own the equity interest of dominant companies with simple, predictable, free cash flow generative business models, high return on capital, strong balance sheets, and limited exposure to extrinsic risk.
- We believe herd mentality and other market psychology factors are important to consider when managing capital. We often take a contrarian approach to traditional market sentiment as asset prices are typically mispriced during times of extreme fear or greed.
